They meet the summer of 2001. Both of Amanda and Steve's parents owned a trailer home at a seasonal lot across the road from each other in Wildwood Campground outside of St. Mary's, ON. That summer Amanda often took her two young children, Jared was three at that time, and Mikayla, who would be celebrating her first birthday that following November, out to her parent's trailer home and spend the weekdays there . Steve's mom and dad, Isabelle and Hector, who also had a seasonal lot, spent most days that summer staying at their trailer home too. Amanda got to know Steve before she even met him. His mom would often tell her stories about him. Well visiting with his parents, Steve was introduced to Amanda's parents, Deb and Dave, her two brothers, Mark and Mitchell, and her sister, Jill. Steve had the same opportunity to get to know Amanda before he met her too. It wasn't until a couple days later that Amanda and Steve met as he crossed by her parents lot. After that they became best friends. They spent more and more time together as their relationship grew. On November 12, 2001, Amanda and Steve deiced they take a drive to Niagara Falls and visit the casino. They spent the whole night at the slots. Of course they couldn't go to Niagara without visiting the falls, so they drove and parked so they could get out of the car and see the beautiful view. It was a chilly November night, so Steve wrapped his arms around Amanda to keep her warm. As he held her he whispered in her ear "I love you." From that moment on Amanda knew that she truly loved this man who could swept her off her feet and here they are today, planning the next step into marriage. | |||
